Primitive Motion
Recorded by Josh Watson & Mino Peric.
Mixed by Josh Watson.
Recorded at The Brightside, Apr 4 2014.
Leighton and Sandra began performing as a duo a short while after the demise of The Deadnotes, a group that they played in with Eugene Carchesio and Stuart Busby. Focused around Casio keyboards, delayed vocals and loop stations, the music of Primitive Motion is a sort of experimental pop sound with a strong focus on melody and texture. A combination of their more artistic backgrounds and a DIY pop sensibility. Leighton runs Kindling records and Sandra is an accomplished visual artist, having had a few works displayed at GoMA.
In November last year they released their debut album Worlds Floating By on Brisbane label, Bedroom Suck Records.

The Kramers
Recorded by Josh Watson.
Mixed by Josh Watson.
Recorded at The Underdog, Apr 25 2014.
Ethan Kernaghan has been performing under the name ‘The Kramers’ since the age of 14, and the band have slowly morphed into a three-piece. It’s all part of a bigger picture and most recently the live show has involved a bit of performance art. They played The Underdog in Brisbane on ANZAC Day night and towards the end of their set Ethan took hammer to nail and built a crude stand/shrine, on which he precariously perched Per Purpose’s newly released 7”.
