Ep 406 – Alana and The Sunday Scene & Feeding Fauna

Alana and The Sunday Scene:

Live at The Bearded Lady, West End, 19 January 2020

Alana and The Sunday Scene have since changed their name to ALLORA. Forming in mid-2019, ALLORA always brings an exciting energy to their sold-out shows, playing sets at the Brisbane Indie Project, Ungrained Festival and QUBE Effect. With their sophomore single, “Talk2U2Nite”, ALLORA introduces the Brisbane music scene to a style of indie rock that gives voice to the excitement and uncertainty of growing up.

Feeding Fauna:

Live at Sonic Masala Fest, The Triffid, Newstead, 14 August 2021

Feeding Fauna is the solo project of local singer-songwriter Louise O’Reilly. Feeding Fauna invites comparisons to the powerful ’90s alt-rock of PJ Harvey and Liz Phair. Fuzzed-out bass and ’80s-inspired drum machines give way for a haunted vocal that simmers above the pulse.

Recorded by James Fearn-Wannan
Mixed by Tim Allison
Special thanks to live engineer Rueben Aptroot

Show production: Scott Mercer
Engineering and host: Nathan Loughnan
Originally aired via Zed Digital, 7-8pm, Sunday 18 September, 2022
