Hailing from small-town Maryborough, Queensland, Aika and Mimi are two friends obsessed with all thing pop, funk and rock. Now based in Meanjin-Brisbane, SAIK is Aika and Mimi’s R’n’B/pop project. They’ve been delivering electric performances with their backing band – Dustin, Takeshi and Alex – since the end of pandemic, taking inspiration from acts like Doja Cat, Remi Wolf and Dua Lipa. SAIK have released one single, 2022’s ‘Fool Me’, and the Live Delay caught their performance at Lazy Days Festival at The Zoo in Fortitude Valley on the 3rd of June, 2023.
