Olympia:

Mixed by Branko Cosic
Recorded at The Triffid, Newstead, 9 March 2019

Olympia is the project of Melbourne-based musician Olivia Bartley. Her self-titled debut EP came out in 2013 and his since been followed by two full-length albums: 2016’s Self Talk and this year’s Flamingo. Self Talk was nominated for the ARIA Award for Breakthrough Artist as well as the Australian Music Prize, while Flamingo has seen Olympia tour consistently throughout 2019 off the back of killer singles Star City, Shoot To Forget and Hounds. One such gig was captured by the Live Delay team earlier this year while Olympia was supporting Julia Jacklin.

Hound:

Recorded by Nell Forster
Mixed by Conner McDonald
Recorded at The Bearded Lady, West End, 23 March 2019

Formed by Chris Cox, Lucas Hopgood, Tom Butler and Anthony Gray, Hound released their first demo, F-Off and Rinse, in 2013, followed shortly by the professionally-recorded EP Concrete in 2014. The band have kept up a fairly consistent string of releases since then, including debut album Dying In The Sun in 2015, EP MiniVolume in 2016, album Drown With The Lot in 2017 and most recently the EP Shady Valentine in 2019.

The excerpts you’re about to hear from the set recorded by Live Delay earlier this year are from what might turn out to be Hound’s final gig, with the band members describing their future as being “Up in the air”. If that turns out to be the case, they have certainly left behind a very respectable body of work and and reputation as an excellent live act.

Due to prior arrangement with the artist/management, we are unable to provide this episode for streaming.
