Hailing from Brisbane, The Steady As She Goes is the sole brainchild of Tal Wallace, who created the moniker in 2012 out of the ashes of his previous band ‘The Smokestack Orchestra’. Striping right down to a solo outfit, The Steady As She Goes could be described as doom folk, with Tal surrounded only by amplifiers and a Drum Machine. His debut album ‘Dangerous & Dead’ was released in early 2014 and received many unanimous praises from local music rags and peers alike.

Brisbane supergroup Orphans Orphans is made up of five members that are featured very heavily in Brisbane’s pop-rock scene. Other bands that the individuals appear in include The Jungle Giants, The Belligerents, Last Dinosaurs, Moses Gunn Collective, Morning Harvey, The Family Jordan, The Furrs and Millions. When all of those bands aren’t busy, Orphans Orphans get together and jam out their psychedelic pop, even releasing a debut EP in 2014 as well.
