PALMS
Recorded and Mixed by Branko Cosic.
Recorded at The Foundry, Brisbane, 20th August 2015.

Palms are the rockin’ noise brats from Sydney who have been leaving a trail of destruction wherever they go, in the audio sense, that is. The four piece is made up of ex-members of Red Riders, John Steel Singers, Stature::Statue and Straight Arrows. Born kicking and screaming into the music world in 2012, They released their first album ‘Step Brothers’ on Spunk Records in 2013 and have just released their sophemore effort ‘Crazy Rack’ on Ivy League Records. Their brand of noise rock has a summer-y tinge to it, perfect for the season we’re about to enter.

Dead Farmers
Recorded and Mixed by Branko Cosic.
Recorded at Greenslopes Bowls Club, Brisbane, 14th March 2015.

Hailing from Sydney, garage-punkers Dead Farmers sprouted up through the cracks of Australia’s largest city’s underbelly and began rocking audiences in the mid-2000’s. Very reminiscent of the Detroit rock scene that produced bands such as The Stooges and MC5, they self-recorded their latest album ‘Wasteland’ straight onto half-inch tape free of reverb and post-recording effects, and sent it off to mastering to be improved upon.

Airing details: Originally via Zed Digital, 8-9pm, Friday 27th November 2015.
Show production and engineering: Branko Cosic.
