Madboots is the hip-hop project of Brisbane sisters Dewi and Angelica, with James Vincent taking care of the DJ duties. The trio and their posse make loud and fast beats while traversing the electronic dance spectrum. Their material ranges from dubstep to old school NY but with Raps about bin-diving and Birdemic spat as hard as anything on Ill Communication.

Fatti Frances is the stage name of Raquel Solier, who’s been making experimental down-tempo RnB after returning to Melbourne after some time spent overseas. Before taking to electronic instruments drumming was Raquel’s focus; She played in art-punk band Jemima Jemima and also did a tour in Swedish indie heartthrob Jens Lekman’s band. The first material under the guise of Fatti Frances was a debut self-titled 12” record was self-released in 2011, which was followed by a cassette called ‘Sweaty’ containing more abstract material. This is where pop meets the fringe. Fatti Frances sounds half Mariah Carey, half Inga Copeland, half Maria Minerva and half Julee Cruise.
