We’re digging back to the start of 2013 and rebroadcasting a few interesting sets of live music. This time we reboot episode 7 of Live Delay – featuring the effervescent Tape/Off, The Horrortones and The Mouldy Lovers.

We bring you not one, but TWO sets from one of Brisbane’s loudest bands – Tape/Off. The foursome whose fondness of loud pavement-esque rock has with a twist has seen them etch out a unique identity within their hometown music scene over the past few years. They’re also pretty nice dudes. Set 1 features three songs recorded at The Primitive Room in Spring Hill, Brisbane, whereas Set 2 shows three different songs from a gig at The Zoo in late 2012.
Also, Tape/Off are on cusp of releasing a new record. w00t.
THE HORRORTONES

We’re proud to present Brisbane’s very own supergroup – The Horrortones! Made up of members of Texas Tea, The Vegas Kings, The Giants of Science and many other prominent local bands, The Horrortones beat out the soulful sounds of the sixties in a way even alliteration can’t do justice. Frontman Pete Collins may actually sound like Wilson Pickett and the rest of the band sound like The Commitments but with added sexual organs (and organ). And we’ve got them live here on Live Delay! Grouse!

THE MOULDY LOVERS

The Mouldy Lovers are a young and vibrant Brisbane gypsy instrumental band with a wicked set of humour. They do a mad cover of the theme song from Tetris (unfortunately, not covered in this set) and have skills to pay multiple bills (not your rent however). Check out this neat live set we captured back in 2011 in this episode of Live Delay.
